Can't access the floppy drive

Suddenly, for no reason I can think of, My Computer shows the A drive as a 5.25in floppy. It isn't - it's 3.5in and I can't access it. When I click the icon in My Computer the whole thing freezes and I have to reboot. Is there any way I can put this right?

The floppy drive type is set in the computer's Bios, so you must go into the Bios setup by pressing Del (or whatever key your computer uses) at startup, and correct it. There is a virus that messes with the Bios floppy disk settings, so we'd also advise giving your PC a thorough check using a good virus scanner.
